Husband not handsome enough

... in his own mind. My husband has really low self esteem. What are some things that I can do to cheer him up since he's been a little more down lately? He's handsome as all get out and the love of my life. I think he's struggling because he's not working now due to being in an intensive masters program for the next year... (including student teaching) he attaches a lot of his worth to his ability to provide.

And dont suggest therapy because I know we need it. We had traumatic childhoods. But we can't swing the $200 a month per person on a single income from an unskilled worker (me). It kills me that I can't get that for him.
