IVF cost?

My husband and I are considering doing IVF next year and I know how costly it is which is why we've been saving for a while. I know it's different everywhere you go and for everyone, but for the people who did IVF did you have to pay everything up front? Or were you able to make payments?

My clinic offers packages and payment plans through ARC with low interest rates if you qualify. ARC will also pay you money back if you purchased a package for two or three retrieval’s and you had a live birth with the first. I just found out my husband has coverage through work so I’m currently getting added to his insurance and will be enrolling in the program for January 1st. We’ll still have to pay the deductible 3,300 and PGT 2,000 since it’s not covered. We would’ve been looking at 10,500 with ICSI + meds 5,000-8,000 + PGT lab fee 2,000. It’s so expensive and I felt so grateful when we found out all I could do was cry. Just wish everyone could be covered in the country and not state mandated. Where I live (PA), coverage is not mandated but my husbands employer is headquartered in Columbus OH and thankfully they offer it as infertility treatment. Without insurance we were not going to do it because my clinic doesn’t have a shared risk program, I highly recommend finding a place that will pay you back 70-100% back if it doesn’t work. If our clinic offered it and we didn’t have insurance I’d pay for it. But with my history of recurrent losses it was just too risky. Best of luck with your journey ♥️♥️

6,000 so far with retrieval, fresh transfer, frozen transfer and medication. Look into CNY fertility. They are the cheapest place in the US. You sacrifice some personal one on one time but it’s worth it for the cost.

We had to pay for it up front. We qualified for the guarantee which includes freezing of embryos and free transfers for life. It cost $25,000 not including the $5000 for genetic testing and $4000 for medications. Worth every penny. We have a healthy 12 week old baby boy and plan on doing another transfer next year.

Ours was $18-20k each time depending on medication levels.  For the medications ($6-8k) those were paid upfront but for the fertility clinic they set up a payment plan for us for the portion we didn’t have.

There was a pay as you go option, but an up front discount if you paid everything on the first day. You had to be fully paid up by the end of your IVF cycle, either way. Including ICSI, a single embryo FET, medication and PGT for 12 embryos, a single cycle ran me 23k.

We had to pay 100% out of pocket foe everything from diagnostics testing to meds to the procedures itself. We rook out a medical loan for most of it. We thankfully both have 800 credit scores so got a fairly low interest rate but was still pretty large monthly payments. In total it was about 35K-ish for it. May have been a little more but was around that cost. We paid 9500 cash then did a loan for the rest. We are in the pacific northwest if that helps. 30-40K was average cost for almost every clinic we talked to and opted for a slightly hight cost iver a few other places because their success rates were much higher and the clinic was just overall better
