First time surgery and SUPER nervous ! Help!
Okay, on January 19 th I’m having surgery. My surgery will be to remove my thyroid and my tonsils. As well as a nasal surgery to improve breathing and to push my nose slightly over so I don’t have sleeping/snoring problems. My Surgeon told me I’m going to be in some of the worst pain of my life and I’m gonna be miserable. He suggest I do it all in one though. He has never done this operation in his 14 years as a surgeon.. so should I be concerned? He made me feel comfortable to where I’m not really that scared. I’m the type of person I can take pain well unless it’s my ear, nose, mouth, teeth, etc.. I absolutely hate it but I don’t want to have a bunch of surgeries and be in weeks of pain. I have terrible blood pressure and heart rate. My doctor is concerned about that. He’s making me stay a minimum of 8 days in the ICU after the surgery to be monitored. This is my first surgery and I’m super nervous! I have no idea if my fiancé can visit me ! Do you think they will make a exception ?(they haven’t said he can’t but because of COVID idk) I have no idea what to expect. I puke VERY easy and I have terrible anxiety. I get my covid test on the 14th of January. Anything helps girls !
I have hyperthyroidism!!
