Help Boyfriend issues

I have a situation. And I could really use someone’s advice. I love my boyfriend so much. He’s the sweetest and kindest soul ever. He’s a gentleman and does whatever it takes to make me happy. He has one issue tho. And I’m not sure if it’s a bad thing or a good thing. He has this annoying roommate. That always makes comments that make him feel dumb. And degrade him. We were sitting in the living room last night with a group of his friends and that annoying roommate. His roommate starts to make comments at my boyfriend like “be a man you’re not man enough” “why aren’t you acting like your self and starts mocking him” “my dad just thinks he’s retarted” he has made comments to me and I clap back.

I have a mouth and I don’t stand for bullies. Of course he doesn’t say stuff like that because he doesn’t even know me well. I give him dirty looks and am very obvious that the way he way he talk is not nice. My boyfriend however, does not say ANYTHING. He sits there and says nothing. While his roommate and friends are just mean to him. It breaks my heart that he can’t stand up for

Himself. He tells me he’s not

Confrontational and would rather talk

To him on the side. But that is the issue. People need to be called out right then and there to learn their lesson. He talked to
