Should the British monarchy be abolished when the queen dies?

Why or why not?
I realise the British are more of a minority in this app so for those of you who aren’t British, from an outsiders POV what are your thoughts on British royalty?

I’m not British but I always thought the Royals were more for traditions sake and they didn’t actually influence politics much.

I want the monarchy to continue. I'm not sure Charles will be able to be as apolitical as the Queen but we will see.
The Queen pays all of her/her estate's earnings into the government coffers and they give her back a percentage which is then split between all the working royals. As tax payers we would probably be worse off with them gone because we would still pay for the upkeep of palaces etc without their income contributing.

I think the whole royalty thing is kind of embarrassing. It seems so childish and useless. Unless I’m wrong, aren’t they just basically philanthropists?

Nope. I dont care all that much about the royal family, but they do bring in good money and tourists 🤷🏼‍♀️

I’m not British, so I don’t feel entitled to an opinion because the monarchy has zero impact on my life or my family. 
My impression is that they both symbolize a certain amount of pride in country (moral of you will), but also represent a financial obligation of the country. A quick google search tells me it is around a cost of $86 Million annually to support the monarchy. I don’t really have an opinion on if this is money well spent, or a burden from the POV of the people.

But as a New Zealander, I would prefer we separated from the Crown.
