Make everything else either bright and early or night before if you want but macaroni is definitely made prior to dinner so it’s fresh and cheesy.

It’s something I would wait for day of. I’m prepping the sautéed ingredients for my stuffing, the candied sweet potatoes (will just warm and too with mellow the day of), mixing my green bean casserole (but leaving out onions inside and on top, will then top and bake), and fully cooking a sausage dish my family makes as it’s better next day anyway. This year I’m not making pies, but if I were I’d do them the night before.
Imo most everything else needs to wait.
