Mucus plug or discharge?

I’m on baby #3 and I act like this is my first time giving birth 🤣 Butttttt, I remember with my first (almost 9 years ago) I lost my mucus plug and it was kinda chunky and pinkish. With my 2nd (4 years ago) I don’t remember losing my mucus plug at all.

Last night I started having contractions and had them from about 11pm until 8ish this morning. (I work night shift) They weren’t close together but I had a lot all night till morning. I took Tylenol and napped and was fine. But ever since I woke up I’ve been having like discharge. This was before I took a shower. After my shower it’s been like every time I went pee and wiped its a lot of discharge that’s mucus-y stretchy like and clear/white ish. I am 37w4d. At my appt Monday I was dilated to a 3 almost 4 she said and 60% effaced.

My question is how will you know if it’s your mucus plug?
