What was your cluster feeding experience?

my daughter (3 weeks) has been feeding non stop. Today has been every 30 mins for literally 10 hours straight. I’d love to hear others experiences. As a ftm I get worried if she’s getting enough or it’s a normal growth spurt feeding frenzy.. the past few nights I’ve given her an extra bottle of milk I previously pumped to get her to calm down and I’ve been trying to pump after each feeding to try and up my supply.

Normal. Also I wouldn’t pump just yet they say to wait til at least 6 weeks for your body to regulate before pumping . No need to supply with a bottle baby is upping your supply by nursing so much so by supplementing your interfering with nature .

I followed The Happiest Baby on the Block techniques for soothing baby and cluster feeding stopped. My babe would eat, spit up, poop, eat repeatedly without much break. We didn't think he was hungry because he kept spitting up but the only thing that soothed him was feeding. Then we followed that video and suddenly he stopped fussing and was a okay and slept and let ME get sleep. The video is on YouTube and I highly recommend it for these first few months.

Is she gaining weight? Does she have enough dirty/wet diapers? If so, your supply is fine. They cluster feed to increase your supply. I would consider seeing if you can get a lactation consult just to check to make sure latch is okay. It gets better I promise! It can be very normal for them to cluster feed if they are going through a growth spurt, mental leap, or just for comfort.
