Best age gap between kids?

Regardless of what ended up happening with your family, what do you feel the ideal age gap is between children?

My kids are 2.5 years apart and I wish the gap was bigger. 4-5 years is my ideal I think.

My first and second are 4 year apart. My second and third will be 2 years apart. I liked the gap between my first two but felt it made it a harder transition because I had an only child for so long. This time I feel pregnancy wise I feel like I just did this but excited to see this age gap

I think most people will lie. Whatever they end up with :) my first two ended up 2 and 7 mths and I loved it and had exactly the same with my third then accidentally fell pregnant with my fourth and this one will be 3 years after :)
