Big baby, big child?

Question

So I am type two diabetic and 30weeks+ with my third child. She is 4lbs 11oz which is big for 30weeks. My worry is that if she's big as an infant will she be a heavy child? What I am asking I guess is if those who've given birth after being diabetic do your children have a bigger change of obesity? Thanks ladies.

The weight is an estimate they told me my son was measuring 7 1/2 lbs at 37 1/2 weeks four days later i gave birth he was only 6 1/2 lbs and i have type 2 diabetes as well go figure he is actually on the smaller side and he is almost three now he is tall for his age but very thin 5-10th percentile for weight

My mom is diabetic and my three siblings and I were large babies(9, 8 1/2, 9 1/2, and me at 10 1/2) and we all turned out fairly slim just taller.

There's always a chance. But as long as you're keeping your child healthy, being 'big' shouldn't be an issue. I had gd with all of my babies. At 31w with my last baby, she was estimated 5.13lbs. She was 8.3 at birth. My sister is type 1 and gave birth to her second 4w early, he was 9lbs and now at 19 mos he's a sturdy boy, but nothing to be concerned about.

The weight is just an estimate.  But I myself was a high birth weight baby at almost 12lbs 3 weeks early.  I was a normal sized child and early teenager. Until I started BC and then they found cysts on my ovaries. Which they diagnosed me with pcos then the weight started packing on. From 150 (at 5'7) in mid 2013 to 242 April/May this year. That's almost 100 lbs in less than 2 years. I'm now 29+4 pregnant and have lost weight,  but I am gestational diabetic and preeclamptic.
