Has anyone had an ECV done?

Question

I'm 35 weeks and my baby is breech. He is frank breech.
Has anyone had this done before? 
Was it successful?
I'm scared that it will hurt my baby.
My doc said if I want the ECV I have to do it at 37 weeks. I will not be under any medication.
Please share your experiences ❤

I’ve had it done twice, at 37 weeks both times. No medication. It was more uncomfortable than pain, it wasn’t that bad. Both times it was succesful 😊

I had one done at 37 weeks. It was successful but ridiculously painful. I only had a muscle relaxant to try and make it easier on my uterus and I was crying with the pain. 
I ended up having to have a c section anyway, as baby had a short cord. She was the wrong way around for a reason! Also, when I went into labour a week later (first sign was waters breaking) there was old meconium in the water. It was generally assumed this happened due to the distress she was in during the ECV. I remember the doctor saying she was resisting and kicking like crazy. I personally would not do it again.

I did one at 37ish weeks and it was not successful. I do have an abnormally shaped uterus which is probably why it didn't work. I read horror stories about it being painful but it wasn't painful for me just pressure/awkward feeling.

I had one in labor at 39 weeks. He managed to turn overnight from head down to standing straight up. They gave me an epidural, laid me flat, turned him and then quickly broke my water so he wouldn’t be able to turn again. 
It was pretty aggressive. He was 8lbs and I’m not sure I would’ve wanted to do it without the epidural.
