So I’m wondering how much clothes other moms bought for their baby. I always see closets full when people post their nursery and since we are currently in a 1br apartment transitioning into a house we don’t have a ton of space atm. As of right now I have 5-10 pieces of sleepers, onesies (short and long sleeve but mostly long sleeves because it’s cold in Denver through April) snowsuits and pants. However I only bought and received clothes 0-6months. She has enough to fill a drawer (about 50 pieces total) I figured that should be fine as I don’t know how big she’ll be and it would be easier on me to buy more later when I have a better gauge on her size. My husband weighed 8.8 when he was born and I weighed 8.9 and from what I’ve read she may not even fit new born clothes if she weighs as much as we did at birth! Her clothes look so teeny tiny I can’t imagine them fitting her ! So that would cut her wardrobe options in half. She’s measuring 6.4 right now at 37 weeks but I know they can be off by a pound. Sorry for the rambling but, Should I buy more clothes? I feel like I should mention our apt doesn’t have a washer and dryer in-unit but the communal laundry room is next door and I’ll be home with her most of the time until I go back to work so washing isn’t an issue. We do laundry once a week.
