Cervical mucus-peak day?

Hello, I am fairly new to the TTC world and trying to figure out the CM differences. I’ve been producing EWCM for a few days and we’ve been BDing all of those days. However, today, there was a much bigger glob of it. It was definitely egg white in texture but more yellow tinged. So I guess my questions are: 1.) is the yellow tinge normal? 2.) does more CM indicate the peak day/day of actual ovulation? I am also temping but maybe need to start vaginal temps next month, as mine seem super low.
