Guy advice please help!

I’m really confused. So my fwb sent me my bumble account claiming it was hot and that I’m wife material. Convo proceeded to him saying he finds fwb a waste of time so I asked him why he does it with me then. He admits he likes me and has for a while now but didn’t wanna mess anything up. I thought he did cuz I was getting mixed messages and I told him I liked him back. But the tricky part is he is my ex’s friend. They no longer talk (they stopped talking before him and I hooked up. Had nothing to do with me) and my ex cheated on me. But like neither of us now how to approach it. He’s trash with texting/ snap as he works a lot. And we’re nervous about me ex. I don’t want to be the one making the moves as I always snap first. But that night he admitted he liked me, he asked me to come over. I did and we chatted about some business plan he has, had sex, then cuddled for a while and talked. I’m so lost. Idk how to approach this or even if I should. I don’t like to get caught up in feelings or have mine hurt, I don’t want to think something will happen and realistically it won’t and I’m wasting my time
