What made you know you were in labor besides water breaking and contractions ??? I’d love to hear your stories ?

That’s the only way to know if ur actually in labor. Anything else may be a sign that it’s near but water breaking or contractions would mean actually being in labor

I asked my doctor this exact question. There are so many little signs that mean labor could be near but honestly don’t mean much (like losing your mucus plug....could happen weeks before labor or during labor). She said that’s it: just wait for contractions that don’t go away and get worse or for your water to break.

My water didn't break. 
But I started having sporadic contractions.  
Then they got closer together, hurt more and after timing them I used the bathroom to find my mucus plug was coming out and I was having my "bloody show" 
Thats when I knew to go in. 
And a few hours later they had to break my water for me.

Anything else could be just pre labor symptoms.
But if water breaks, or contractions become 5 minutes apart it’s go time.

My water didn’t break on its own, they had to break it at the hospital. Contractions were what made me know I was in labor￼.
