HPV and pregnancy help!?!?!

Was just looking at my lab results online and it said "HPV positive waiting on pap" what does that mean? Could I have cervical cancer? Will I loose my baby? Will I never be able to have another baby? I need some advise. I just found out last week I had chlamydia could it just be from that???

Chlamydia is one of the biggest causes of hpv. I wouldn't stress to much. They can usually monitor you and baby and deliver just fine :) it can affect getting pregnant in the future depending on how bad the hpv is. I would just talk to your doctor when the results come back and try to stay calm in the mean time. Good luck!!

Hpv positive means that you have (or at least had) human papilloma virus. Exposure to it CAN put you at a higher RISK for cervical cancer, but it definitely doesn't mean you have cervical cancer. The doctor will want to do a Pap smear to check for cervical cancer (or precancerous cells) because of your increased risk due to hpv. It is a separate thing to your positive Chlamydia result - chlamydia is caused by a bacterial infection and can lead to infertility. Lucky you found out sooner rather than later. Good luck :)
