Question

When your partner gets sick do you become their nurse or do you even know they're sick? 
My friends husband is currently home with mono. She said he lays in bed and calls her on his phone for everything. Even just to get help to eat and go to the bathroom. I havent seen it first hand so she may be making it seem worse than it is but it had me laughing. My husband is a deny I'm sick kinda person. He will ignore it until it literally knocks him out. 
How does your partner handle it?

For the record mono really does completely wipe you out so I'm not surprised he needs help with everything! My hubs is rarely sick and when he is, he complains a little but mostly pushes through. Only annoying thing is he literally never takes medicine without me giving it to him/reminding him. But I'll take that over how my dad acts with my mom, like he's dying over a stuffy nose!

He's a mix of 'giant cranky baby' and 'im definitely not sick'
 He ignores it until he's a total mess, and then he'll give up and come home and bitch about how uncomfortable he is (too hot, nose hurts, whatever) while I make him homemade soups and bring him special drinks and things on the couch 
He handled having half of his finger severed off at work better than he handles the flu. I always want to eye roll tbh
Funny how when I'm sick I have to get my own groceries, cook my own food, and take care of myself and him like normal still 😂
Thankfully we haven't been sick in years though because it's so annoying

Mono is horrible though, it really does zap every bit of energy out you. My ex manager had it. My husband is an "I know I'm sick but I'll deny the symptoms as much as possible" guy.

My husband could have a slight body ache but he acts like he has Pneumonia, Tuberculosis, Heart Disease, Yellow Fever, and 4 biblical plagues... smh I just laugh and pray for strength and patience.

I'm a deny I'm sick and if I have to admit it then I just get on with it person.
My husband is on day 3 (about to be 4) of being off work for a common cold. But I do Not nurse him, he's a big boy and I have a toddler and house to look after so there's no way I'm running around after him too.

All the above 🤣 my husband turns into such a grouch and acts like he’s dying and can’t do anything around the house, but he takes care of himself and doesn’t really ever stay home from work (he’s able to work independently so he’s not getting people sick)
