Do you think we dated?

When I was in high school (9th or 10th grade) I had this friend (We'll call her Jay) and to this day I wonder if we were only friends or if we dated. We mainly hung out at school because I had a strict family. We only hung out away from school a few times. We held hands, hugged each other, and she kissed me on the cheek a few times, but never on the lips. One time when I spent the night at her house, we cuddled and I really liked it. We even told random kids at school that we were dating. Idk why we did that, maybe because they were random kids that we didn't know? I didn't know if we were joking or not though. She wasn't pretty at all but I liked her personality. I ended things because she started smoking weed and doing bad in school and didn't seem to care anymore about school. I didn't want to be around that type of person and that's what I told her. I was sad when we stopped hanging out and talking to each other, every now and again I'll still think about her.

I'm 20 now and I'm still trying to figure out my sexuality. I know for a fact I like guys but I think I like girls too. Idk. Maybe I'm too afraid to admit or maybe I need more experience first before I can say for sure if I like girls or not. Anyways that's not the point, do you think we dated? Or we're we just friends? It doesn't really matter but I'm just curious.
