Was your baby(s) named before or after they were born?

My first, we had the name picked out way before she was born. Currently 32 weeks with second and we can't decide on a name. I'm worried about giving birth without a name picked out.

When you see her, you will know. I changed my daughters name to Taylor Naomi from Olivia Naomi because Naomi was so popular

Our first had a first name a month or so before she was born, middle names after, my son had a whole name pretty soon once we found out he was a boy lol

All three times we had a girl and a boy named picked but when our third was born it didn’t suit him so he was nameless for about 12 hours. Our first two fit perfect though.

I always really liked 3-4 letter names and I found the name Rhys pronounced like Reese and I just loved it. I’m also glad he ended up looking like a Rhys tho 🥴

With both we didn’t even have a name picked out until at least 35 weeks and decided to tell family that we were waiting for them to be born before making the final decision in case a different name fit better. There are so few surprises/unknowns left to pregnancy it’s nice to have something just between you and SO.

Named before conception also before I even considered getting pregnant. 
Long ago I created a list of names. I wrote down first name 2 middle names and last name and just kept them handy.
This way was easier and then we just give names based on gender and maybe modify if I like one name different that’s new to me.

Before they were born except the middle name for my fourth baby.  They wouldn't let me leave the hospital without a name so I had to stay an extra day!

I knew in my heart I wanted to carry in my great grandma’s name and my grandma’s middle name.  So I knew from the beginning what my daughters name would be. 
I also knew from the beginning what I wanted my son to be named if I had a boy instead.

Both. Both of my sons weren’t named the first name we had for them (Noah and Jordy) but #1 had a name before he was born and #2 had no name until 24 hours after birthday.
