Dried snot/ hard?

My LO got a bad cold for the first time and his little nostrils are all hard and dried snotty! He will not and I mean will not let me try to do anything to get it out! He screams! Rolls away from me? Fights me! I just can’t do anything so I’m desperate for tips/ help! And no I can’t have someone hold him down as I’m on my own!

Try letting the shower run with hot water and sitting in the bathroom with him for a steam bath! It should help clear his nostrils

How long does everyone let the saline sit in the nose? I have the saline, too, but I’m oblivious

Spray some saline up there. Probably multiple times a day. This can be a good solution. It will loosen it and make him sneeze.
I personally spray saline first (while she is laying down) and then i sit my daughter in my lap sideways (like me and her make and L shape) in the middle of my bed and kind of hug her with one arm and then use the nose frida with the other. Must be very careful if they squirm as to not poke their eyes.

Humidifier should help with those airways, but you’ll still need to get everything sucked out ☹️
