My boyfriend has taken the placement test 4 times to try and make E5 in the navy and each time they refuse to give it to him; Despite his high scoring and all the overtime he does. He told me they gave it to 2 people who had been there less than a year, and he’s been there for 3 going on 4 years. We want to finally move in together, but I guess that’s not anytime soon. He can apply for automatic BAH in July 2021 since that’s when he reaches is 4 year mark, if they ever give it to him. He desperately wants to just get off base and have a space of his own.
