Bears 🐻

Me

Where I live there are wild black bears that kinda just roam around, both in forests and in neighborhoods. They’re usually very timid and get scared easily so coming across an aggressive one is very rare. Once my husband was getting into his truck and there were two bears in the truck bed just chillin’. He shooed them off without issue.

However a lot of people are pretty scared and annoyed by them because if they end up in your backyard they could get into a fight with your dog or destroy whatever property you have back there. They also could become aggressive if they’re hungry enough. Bears are powerful animals. Normally if you have an issue with a bear, Florida Wildlife comes out and gets them and relocates them. However... I’ve heard on the low down from people in the area that this often goes awry if the bear puts up a fight or is very large and needs to be sedated, and sometimes the bear ends up dying. ☹️

Do you think this is just an unfortunate complication, necessary to keep people safe, or could something be done to help protect the bears further?
