Ok so we went to my sil’s for Thanksgiving ok and while we were there we made plans for Christmas that their family (my sil, Gil, their 3 boys and my mil) come to our house for Christmas well they live about 2 hours away from us and we got all excited and got gifts ready for everyone (most are already here just waiting on a few) and my fiancé gets a text from my sil wanting to know if it’s ok for us (me my fiancé and my mom) to come up to their house for Christmas and their plan was for the kids to be playing in the yard while the men go out to the back and shoot guns and hang out while the women cook. First off I can’t handle stand with my feet and legs swelling it gets to be very painful and second off my mom’s health has recently declined (she’s ok just not strong like she used to be when she first moved in) because of sepsis. Oh and btw they were also having a few friends over with their kids that we had no idea who the hell they were. Now she’s all depressed and mad that we aren’t coming. My mom can’t handle long car rides right now please we had already made plans for them to come down to our house. My fiancé is only going up there bc we need to get my mil to come down here so that we (me and my fiancé) go over to my dad’s the day after Christmas and the Sunday after we have to get my brother to come watch my mom (again she can’t handle car rides right now) while we tale my mil back up to my sil and bring the boy’s gifts and my sil. Why the hell would you cancel plans, that were already set in place with family, and hang out with your friends? We won’t be inviting them to anything any time soon, I don’t feel like being blown off for your friends when you made holiday plans with family.
