Possible endometriosis. Looking for advice.
Hoping on here for any advice. My doctor thinks I may have endometriosis.
This is a resume of what’s been going on:
I’ve always had irregular and heavy periods, painful menstrual cramps, coupled with what seemed IBS symptoms.
This yr my menstrual cycle made a crazy turn, and I started bleeding every other week. So, I went to the doctor and got diagnosed with PCOS and was prescribed combination birth control. But, my period got even worse I’ve been bleeding now over a month 😔. I made phone consult, thinking I’d get an answer like, it’s just your hormones adjusting. However, now they think I have endometriosis and I’d need surgery.
I’m also not feeling happy with my doctor. I feel he really doesn’t care or pays attention. I have only spoken to him once for no more than 10 mins (usually is filtering through many nurses). Every time they fail to explain something and I always have to ask to explain. However, he is full of accolades and highly regarded. — So, I try overlooking it.
I’ve been advised by family to get a 2nd opinion.
If anyone can tell me about their experience or give any advice,
I’d very much appreciate it. 🙏🏻
I’ve been very depressed by this possible diagnosis and I am currently going through a downhill in my 6 yr relationship.
