Would you choose to be induced?

Question

I was given the option by my OBGYN to be induced at 39 weeks due to my severe migraines I've had the whole pregnancy. 
I'm a little worried about being induced, and not sure if I want to opt for it or let baby come naturally.
Also, my first came on his own at 40+3 and was almost 9lbs! So I'm thinking maybe being induced at 39 will prevent such a large baby? Idk, I'm torn.
Any positive induction experiences?

I got induced with my first at 38+1 weeks due to high blood pressure. I was still able to do it naturally (no epidural) and thought things were fine. Just wanted to share a positive induction story as these other ladies have pretty negative ones. 😘 Whatever you decide will be fine!

I was induced with my first due to hypertension and it went so smoothly. The only complaint I have is that the contractions from the Pitocin were so strong, but once I got my epidural I slept the whole way through my labor.

I was induced with my first at 40w and it went very smoothly from arriving at the hospital checking in to baby’s birth is was less than 7 hours. I feel like I’m going to have to be induced again so they offered it this time at 39 weeks and I took them up on it. I’ve been is so much pain can’t walk my hip goes numb so at this point I’m ready

Hell no my induction with my 3rd was the worst experience of my life and my first two I gave all natural birth to in a 3rd world country so what does that tell u

I personally wouldn’t. My induction did not go well which ended in a 4th degree tear which you do NOT want! I healed perfectly fine from it but hurt bad for a year +!

I personally wouldn’t choose to be induced. I feel like even though medicine is so advanced we really don’t know what is fully developed and what isn’t, so I take the “your body knows” stance. I’m on my fourth and I get the “I’m uncomfortable and over it” mindset but I really try and remember that each extra day to bake is even better for baby. 
Ask me tomorrow how I feel and I might say differently! Lol! Kidding! I was induced at 42 weeks with my first and after a very difficult and long labor, came to realize my body just wasn’t ready, and I regretted doing it.  My baby was super healthy and everything turned out okay, but I was facing a c-section due to “lack of progress” when really my body just had been pushed to do something it wasn’t ready to do. 
My biggest vote - wait it out! You won’t regret it!

Everyone has their own experiences with induction but mine was awful. I was induced with my first and my body was just not ready whatsoever so it was long and miserable. It’s hard on your body to medically force it to do something it’s not ready for, especially labor.

Personally no. My doctor as given me the option to be induced at 39 weeks as well and I told her no and she scheduled anyway and said I could change my mind .. it’s like she’s trying to force it on me but I’m fine no complications no high bp.. I just don’t like the idea of being put into labor from medicine or my nosy being forced into labor.. I went into labor naturally with my first at 38+5 and I felt like I was progressing fine I left the doctor that day at 2-3 cm got to the hospital at 4cm and they still gave me pitocin to “speed up my labor” which actually made me labor longer and baby’s heart rate kept dropping.. I was pissed. But everyone is different.

I unfortunately don’t have a good induction story because my son was sunny side up and had the cord around his neck wrapped twice. However, if that wasn’t the case I think my induction would’ve gone great. I had an elective induction with my first at 39+1.
