Who should get the bigger room?

My mother came over last night and asked why our son would get the bigger room. I said because he's older. She insisted our unborn daughter should have it because she's a girl. 🧐

Oldest gets it. As they grow they need more things and more room regardless of gender. Also that's super sexist to give it to the girl just because she's a girl. Don't raise your kids like that lol. ❤️

I think proximity to master & other factors would effect my decision more, but all things equal, the oldest.

We moved my son (oldest) to the bigger room. Granted it’s bigger by like 3 feet. His little sister will take over his old nursery when she arrives. The nursery is 4 feet closer to our room. It was easier for us to make the switch and not have to move all the nursery furniture. Who knows if we will be in this house when something like closet space will really matter. I think you should do whatever works best for your family.

Depends on age and stuff to me. I had 2 older siblings growing up. My sister was the oldest and had the biggest room, my brother was the middle and had the smallest, and I had the medium size. 
My brother got the smallest because it had a small closet and he didn’t have a bunch of clothes meanwhile me and my sister did. 
This was also when we were all older like I was 12 and my siblings were 16,17. 
With my kids when we got this house we only had my daughter and we gave her the spare room with the biggest closet and used the other room as an office till we got pregnant with my son. When he was born that turned into his room. 
When we move we plan to do the same thing she will get whichever space has the bigger closet.

What is a NEWBORN going to do with all that room other than just look at it??? That is the dumbest most sexist comment... wow. The oldest gets it because to the older child (I'm guessing pre-teen or teen) space matters to them. Newborns aren't even the least bit concerned because THEYRE A NEWBORN!
