Couples TTC - how much is your age gap, and how old is the oldest child?

Question

My husband and I have a 13 year age difference. He has two children from an earlier marriage, they are 15 and 17. 
I don’t have any children of my own, but would like one. He’s teetering over the decision due to his age, and that his kids are almost out of the house. He says he’s too old to have more children. 
I’m 35, and he will be 49 in May. 
Anyone in the same boat?

I’m in a similar situation. However also quite different. 13 years apart however I’m now 19 and he is 31. He has 2 kids from previous relationship and I have none. I do want kids one day. He has a vasectomy. Recently after a lot of conversations back and forth where originally he didn’t want more kids but as we have gotten closer and closer to the point where we are now literally inseparable we are looking at the options of reversal but for us it is the thing of do we pay for the reversal and then wait to have the kids until we are set or do we set up our own business and then do the reversal. So should we prioritise being financially set before even considering it further or do we do the reversal because it’s kind of time sensitive.. he had the vasectomy 5 years ago.. and then save to set up the business. We currently have the money for one or the other but not both at the minute?

My hubby is almost 20 years older than me, his kids all all adults to his oldest is 39 age he has shall grand children, he was a young father, so that's how he had a son that's 39, I'm 36 and he's 55. This is going to be his second marriage.
