Anyone else?

Question

So over the holidays both my mom and my husbands mom hinted about another grand baby, specifically a girl. We have 3 boys - 4 yrs 3 months, 2 years 8 months, and our youngest is a week from turning 5 months. I just lost the last of the baby weight and our youngest is still in our room and not even on solids yet! What in the world! Anyone else experience this? This is the first time weve had anyone bring up us having another baby and our friends joke about how quickly we had and spaced our kids.

I would just laugh it off and change the subject or say “nope, we’re done” wi try a clear sense of finality. Our daughter was 2.5 months old at her baptism and my FIL asked about the next one (we have a 2.5 yr old too). I smiled and just said “This is it! We’re done. Doctor even said we shouldn’t have more.” Which is true because pregnancy throws my autoimmune blood disorder into chaos and I don’t respond to meds.   A coworker told me “just wait! You’ll change your mind.” To which I said “That would require an expensive reversal procedure for my husband!” And that ended the conversation. 
People often don’t know what else to talk about so they ask about people having kids or more kids. Just say you’re done and move the subject along. I doubt they’re trying to upset you.

My FIL asked when we were having another when he came to meet our son...yep, an 18-hour-old baby, and he’s asking when we’re having another. My husband’s parents both constantly asked when we were having kids and were disappointed we didn’t have a honeymoon baby. While I would have loved that in a perfect world, there were tons of reasons we chose to prevent pregnancy at that point, and I don’t regret it one bit! We had our son after being married 2 1/2 years. 
We’ve told them several times to stop making comments about our reproduction, but they continue to do it. I thought they would learn something after doing the same thing to his older brother and SIL, then she finally told them that they had been trying for 5 years and it just wasn’t happening. But no, nothing changed. 
Come to think of it they did make a comment about it over Christmas. My MIL said that we added a child to the family (my husband’s older brother and SIL adopted a 6-year-old little girl) 2 years ago, then our baby came this year, and she said that somebody better have another one by next Christmas 🙄
