Have you ever heard of Group B strep

Kinda little worried. I went in to the hospital two days ago and they finally got my results back and they said I have it. They didn’t really explain to me what it was. Can it hurt me now, all they said before you give birth they will give you a shot for it before having baby. What causes it. I make sure I do everything right and clean my self down there every day. This scary things. First time having a baby and never heard of this before.
