Alcohol after c section?

Question

2 weeks PP recovering from a c section and was thinking about having a drink or two tonight for NYE with the hubs. I am not breastfeeding BUT I am still taking my perscribed medications when needed for pain (the last being a Percocet taken at 4am). Would it be ok to do or should I hold out a little bit longer?

I waited until I was off the pain meds, but if you took it at 4am I imagine it’s out of your system by this evening

I wouldn't mix alcohol with pain pills. Especially since you haven't been drinking in pregnancy, the effect of the alcohol may be stronger than you expect with even just one drink and combined with the meds might be not so great

I totally get wanting to celebrate, I’d just keep it to one glass or less. Pain killers and alcohol can really mess with your stomach/liver. Alcohol also just gets in the way of what your body needs to heal naturally. You can always double check with your dr, but I’d overall recommend hold off on mixing the two. At least in any substantial way.
