Bleeding and cramps

I'm freaking out. I woke up this morning to bright red blood. I've rested all day and there is barely any blood in my pad but there is a stream of mucousy blood every time I've gone to the bathroom. I have also had cramping but not worse than my menstrual cycle. I am 5 wks 2 days pregnant and so scared that I'm miscarrying. I called the doctor who said there's nothing to do but rest and pray for the best. I go on Monday for blood work. It's going to be a long weekend! :(
