Potty help

My son will be 2 in a couple of weeks and we started potty training almost 2 weeks ago because he was showing interest. Whenever we put him on the potty he’ll pee or poo and we’ll make a huge celebration and he gets a tiny treat after he goes (a couple Cinnamon Toast Crunch 😂) the problem is even though he always goes on the potty he won’t tell me he needs to go and will still go in his pull-ups. He speaks very well and communicates his needs so that’s not the problem. How can I get him to not go in his diaper or tell me if he feels the need? We tried no diaper but it hasn’t worked. Thanks!
