School aged children and newborn??

Question

How are all you mothers handling sending your children back to school after winter break and then being at home with a newborn? 
Are you guys choosing to keep your children home for online school or are you sending them with extra caution?
My daughter has the option of choosing and she’s very adamant about going back to see her friends and teacher. 
My husband is fighting this and wants her home to learn.
I don’t know what to do

For the safety of you baby, she’s better off staying at home to learn. Especially during this cold time, many children are getting the cold and this virus (covid-19) is still out there. There’s a probably that she can get it and bring it home for you and the newborn. She can see her friends and teachers during summer school or even visit them at their houses during summer break.

Keeping my oldest home for remote. She's been remote since September, we had the option. 
I'm a teacher so I was teaching face to face until Christmas break and I, as an adult felt comfortable in the school as I can control my exposure (mask, shield, gloves, glasses and gown when necessary -younger mask less classes and Spec.Ed).
My area has had very little cases so before the break it wouldn't have been too bad sending my oldest to school, but now with people having traveled and gathered for the holidays our numbers are going up. Im happy to keep her home and continue remote learning. I have one other thats not school age at home too so it's not like I would have had alone time with the newborn anyways! Haha

Im keeping mine home until march or so and seeing how cases are looking then. There is a spike coming from holiday travel and family get togethers that is already occurring in certain states and hospitals are filling up with children now on top of having a more virulent spreading version already in the states from the UK.

I am sending mine back. We did virtual for a while and it was a nightmare. I also have to start teaching classes online next week, so there’s no way I could juggle teaching, taking care of a newborn, a 3 year old, and overseeing my boys’ schooling. We’re just going to be extra careful about hand washing and changing clothes.

So we are in the UK, my eldest is 5 and has been at school since September and will be returning on Tuesday. Its alot different here though. There is no choice 🤷🏼‍♀️ child goes to school or you get fined. That being said, I am desperate for her to be at school, its way more than just for learning. We are completely shut down still, everything closed, no interaction or activities at all and no mixing of households, school is her 'get out the house'. Her school also has classes of 30 children and 450+ children in the school, they don't wear masks or distance but they have only had one case of covid from Sept-dec so I am more than happy with the way they are handling things. My youngest also goes to day care every Wednesday, she's 18 months and spent more than half her life in lock down. For me, yes I'm worried about covid, we are clean and careful in every other way but my children NEED interaction with other people, not just for eduction. Children's metal health is taking a massive hit 🤷🏼‍♀️

They will be going but for only 2 days a week. If they don’t attend they loose there spot and it wasn’t easy getting in . There schools takes precautions and so will I . If you have the choice to keep them home take it

My son will be going to school. They're already taking precautions so there's not much else to do besides putting him in a bubble. We paid a lot of money as well for a private christian school. Taking on remote learning with a newborn and a 19month old along with recovering from childbirth seems like too much to take on as well.

We’re still remote but I would opt to stay home. My daughter is in 5th grade but has zero hygiene without me constantly reminding her to wash her hands, shower, etc. it’s too scary for me to send her
