Heart rate dropping after epidural injection

Anybody else experienced mom and baby’s heart rate dropping right after epidural injection? If you did and are (was) pregnant again would you choose to have an epidural again or not?

In 2016 I received an epidural during the labor with my first born. I experienced weakness, fainting and mine and baby’s heart rate started dropping. I got better when the nurses put the oxygen mask on me, but was shaking badly. It was around 4pm. By the time I needed to push at 1am I was in full pain, epidural wore out completely. For some reason I didn’t get more epidural (probably because of low heart rate). Now I am pregnant again and thinking if I should ask for epidural or not. I would try without, but what if I’ll need it. I loved how it took the contractions pain away even for a little bit.
