Would you change Drs.?

If you moved 40 mins further from your babies pediatrician, would you find a new one or stick with the same one who knows the babies history? *I also have 2 other children who go to the same office.*

I personally would change. Doctors can always request the file and history from the previous doctor if they want to learn the patient’s history and what’s happened, etc.

I drive 40 minutes to my kids dr. I’m hoping to never leave her lol. I literally followed her to this new office. Used to be a 30 minute drive 😂🤷🏻‍♀️ I will not switch from her, I purposely didn’t change insurance to stay with her.

Depends on the circumstances. My oldest was always sick during the winter before she turned 5 so I wouldn’t switch because her dr knew the patterns and would get us in the same day. She struggles with her breathing when it would get cold. My middle had an allergy to milk protein but only saw her primary care dr for shots and the check ups so I would have switched with her.

It depends on my child’s medical needs. 
My son’s pediatrician changed offices (same practice/medical group) and went from 5 minutes from our house to 25 minutes. We moved with her because my son was going through a lot of diagnostic testing and specialist referrals at the time. If she ever moved farther away we would probably return to the original office we were going to.
