I don’t have Fallopian tubes and I’m scared, nervous and excited at the same time

You’re going to have a vast response based on peoples’ differing situations. Women under 35 are generally not offered a transfer of more than one embryo, however, IVF gives a higher chance of splitting. If someone PGTs, they are often given the chance to choose the gender, which throws statistics out the window. As I transferred one, PGT normal male embryo, I am pregnant with a boy. Statistically (without genetic testing), you are more likely to have a boy with normal IVF due to them being stronger embryos early on. However, if you are an ICSI patient (I was) you are more likely to have a girl. As for the 12 ICSI embryos we tested, 8 were genetically normal. 6 are female, 2 were male. I’m not sure what our abnormal were. The other 12 are untested.

Everything Vino said. We did IVF with ICSI and had a boy, even though statistically you are more likely to have a girl. There’s really no way to know unless you PGS/PGT test and choose.

We did ivf icsi, no pgs testing, and had a successful fresh transfer. Our son just turned one. We have four frozen embryos and will do another round later this year. I’m 34 now, my husband 35.

We’re on our second IVF cycle (first one was 2017 and we have a healthy 3 year old boy). We did ICSI but didn’t do any of the genetic testing. This time around we are having a girl. 🤷🏻‍♀️
