Maybe it's dumb, but I have a former friend from high school, from 10 years ago. We were best friends. We went through a lot of ups and downs. She hurt me unintentionally in a lot of ways, but we always made up, until senior year. She started to distance herself from me when she got a boyfriend. Then when they broke up, she still kept her distance. After graduation, I remember reaching out a couple times to hang out before I went to college, and I just got "oh I'm busy" or yeah we should" but nothing ever came from it. So it's been almost 10 years since I've ever talked to her, but I wonder about her from time to time. When you're in a relationship with someone, you can break up. But when you have a best friend, there really is no breaking up. It just kinda fades. And I never got closure on what happened to us. Part of me thinks jealousy? I went to a good university and she wasn't able to. So I'm not sure. But I wish we had some formal goodbye at least, like how you do breakups with a boyfriend.

Im still bitter from me and my ex best friend's "breakup". She apologized and I accepted her apology, but there's just some things that you can't forgive and forget. I don't think I could get any sort of closure from her. This friend breakup was almost 4 years ago and her apology was a year or so ago. Still can't get over it. She meant a lot to me and I dont think I can ever 100% forgive her
