Baby crib next to bed

Ladies I’m running out of ideas to get my little one to sleep in crib. Baby sleeps through the night 4 hours at a time long as Is in momma and daddy bed. But I’m curious can I put baby bed next to my bed and drop the rail and have baby crib directly lined up with my bed. This way baby will still be in own bed just directly next to Mine. My baby crib is a transitional crib so it goes all the way to a twin eventually if that’s matters at all 🤷🏻‍♀️. Anyone else ever use this method. Baby is 6 months
