Republican Persecution Complex: AITA
Does anyone have any relatives suffering from this? Yes I know it's not a real psychological disorder but I am pretty sure most people know exactly what I am talking about.
So I have an In Law who has a really bad case of this and uses my social media pages as an outlet for her RPC. I will post or share something about current events like the recent insurrection from Trump supports. Or over the summer I would post about the BLM/civil rights movement and she would post something purposefully inflammatory like how "thugs should be locked up like animals" in hopes of starting a fight. Up until now I would briefly acknowledge her feelings then ignore her and would usually end up kind of running interference telling other people to just ignore her and not take the bait. On a few occasions I would end up deleting the post because I didn't want the drama. But recently I stopped doing the last part and just let people drag her over the coals. I just realized it wasn't worth my time and energy to defend her she is a grown woman her 40's if she wants to act like internet troll I should just let her deal with the natural consequences. 🤷♀️
But now some of her family are mad at me for letting her be bullied and called names. I don't think it's my responsibility to do anything.
