Can my 7 month old have salmon?

I have no idea about fish I don’t eat it and never will 🤣 although I want my daughter to eat it and not be fussy like me lol..
She’s nearly 8 months, can she eat this if it’s cooked??

Not the smoked one but regular salmon, like filet, completely cooked through (so no raw bits) is very healthy, also for a baby of 7 month

Cooked fish is fine. Smoked fish has way too much salt.

Babies can have cooked fish that’s not a problem. The issue with smoked salmon is the salt content. Babies shouldn’t have a lot of salt. I can’t see the package but usually smoked salmon is far too salty for babies. Plain cooked salmon is fine though! I live in japan and work at a daycare where our babies eat fish every single day!

They can have little bits of fish on occasion (I called and asked my pediatrician) but you want to stay away from smoked meats and high mercury fish
