8 DPO and tested

Trying to keep my hopes up..... I stupidly decided to test this morning at 8dpo. (I found out at 8dpo with my last pregnancy). Am I out, can implantation still take place? After implantation how long will it be until a rise in HCG and a test will pick it up. Feeling a little discouraged.
