Hello, I am moving into a dorm soon that allows co-ed roommates. I have ptsd and for personal reasons would prefer that my roommate be a woman/identify as female. I'm trying to figure out how to word this in a way that is inclusive of trans women as an option as well. I'm trying to be inclusive and conscious of gender identity while still politely requesting that I'd prefer not to have a male roommate.

Is this an appropriate request to make and did I word it in a way that's inclusive but to the point?
