What should I do?

My boyfriend and I got into a huge fight a few months ago, so now we are taking things slow. Right before Christmas he asked me if there was anything I wanted for Christmas & I told him instead of getting me a gift, he can give me the money I needed to secure my spot, in the nursing program I was just accepted into. 
As time went on, he kept telling me he was going to give me the money once he got paid. I was okay with that because at the time I wasn’t in the rush for it. One day he asked me did this mean I wasn’t going to give him a gift for Christmas. I said I would try to get him something he wanted, but I couldn’t get anything big because I didn’t have a lot of money to spend on gifts. 
After Christmas passed I started to get worried because the deadline is coming up to pay. This past week he gave me half the money & said he was going to give me the rest in a few days. He hasn’t mentioned anything about the rest, as of yet. I don’t want to keep bothering him about it & I honestly think he doesn’t want to give it to me because I didn’t get him anything for Christmas, because he’s been going out a lot lately with his friends, so I know he has money. Idk what to do. I would like to know should I ask him about it again? Or, should I just ask my mom for the rest of the money?

Maybe it's just me, but it seems incredibly unfair to ask him to give you money knowing you wouldn't be able to buy him a gift at all. I get it, sometimes money is tight. When I know I need to save my money for something (like getting into school), I tell my loved ones not to buy me anything because I can't afford to buy them anything. Then we'd usually just spend some quality time together as our gift.
I definitely wouldn't ask him for the money again. I guess ask your mom? I don't know. Is there a reason you didn't save up for it yourself since you knew this was coming?

That’s very selfish of you!! You didn’t even get him anything. You really had no right to even bring it up. Ask your mom or figure it out on your own.

I think you should ask your mum or someone for the rest of the money. To have a bad fight, slow it down and then ask for that kinda of cash........(I know he asked)but it’s not his responsibility 
he must be hurt, you want his money for the course but didn’t think to get him something even small? 
Courses like that aren’t cheap.

Id actually see if i could get the rest from my mom and give him back the chunk he gave you to be completely honest. I dont think its fair that you were able to get a sum of money from him without giving him anything in return. Even if it wouldve been something small and handmade
