What’s the difference ?

What’s the difference between ovulation and conception? I thought they were the same thing. Can you all give me an example?

Each month your follicles provide only one egg that is mature and when that egg is released thats ovulation.
If there happens to be a sperm I’m around and it meets the egg they create a blastocyst that attaches to your uterus and that is conception. 
You ovulate every month, conception is when the egg is fertilized (meets sperm)

You ovulate every month. The average ovulation happens about halfway through your cycle. It’s when your egg is released from your ovary and available to be fertilized. 
Conception is when the egg is actually fertilized & this leads to pregnancy. This only happens if sperm is present during your ovulation time frame. 
(The process is much more complicated than I wrote above, but if you don’t have the basics yet it’s a good place to start to understand).
