Tooth decay in sugar free squash?

Had an email from baby centre today about tooth decay and it goes on about squash.
My little one wasn't really drinking water or cows milk and the odd breastfed but I was worried about her nkt having enough so we tried a splash of squash but now I'm worried I've done wrong

Yeah I got that email too. I've never given my eldest anything but water and milk. They don't need anything else. My second will just get the same once they're weaned.
Have you tried filling a jug of water and putting it in the fridge? Sometimes they'll take it if it's cold. 😊

Dentist here - the advice is to avoid squash and fresh juices because these can cause tooth decay.
However, being a mum myself and understanding it may be difficult to avoid, I think no added sugar or sugar free squash is okay as long as it is really dilute. Perhaps try gradually diluting until they get used to the taste of plain water.

Try not to worry yourself, it's only abit of juice.
We usually do pure orange or pure apple and water it down as that is supposed to be better then squash!
