Intestinal parasites while breastgeeding

Amarillys/22🧚🏻‍♀️

I’ve been having diarrhea for the past few days nothing like Covid symptoms and I thought I saw something in my stool today looked transparent like a cooked onion and I’m wondering is it able to transmit through breastmilk I’ve been breastfeeding and I don’t want anything happening to my 2 week old I made a quick appointment for today hopefully getting results in a few days

How would stomach parasites get into breastmilk? Some things just don’t make sense, this would be one of them. Unless your kid is touching then ingesting your poop.

No duh I showed proof from studies done on this 🙄 why take my word on it when you could from studies done on this. That’s kind of how you should prove a point.

As I said, it doesn’t make much sense. I’m not ignorant on it, but thanks for playing.

Breast milk, the prime infant nutrition must be recognized to be more than a rare vehicle of parasite transmission, but also a general and focused immune defensive tool against some important parasites

I would contact the doctor. Parasite aren’t anything to mess around with. My husband had it and it was brutal and caused some long term damage. Definitely get checked.

Don’t quote me on this, but I believe it can be transported/spread to others depending on the type of bacteria/parasite it is. It would spread through bodily fluids.
