Which finger on which hand / Rings?

What hand and which finger does my engagement ring and then wedding ring go on? I'm not engaged but I was just curious. I do have a promise ring though and I marked which hand/finger my promise ring is on. (L stands for Left, R stands for Right)

Engagement and wedding band go on the left hand ring finger. Wedding band goes on first (to be closer to your heart) then engagement ring on top.

I lived in the US all my life, but I'm not originally from here. So i think in the US (most) woman wear their engagement ring on their 4th finger on the left hand and when married they wear the wedding band on the same finger on the left hand also, but ( most) wear their wedding band under the engagement ring, because I think people believed that this finger has a vein, that runs directly to the heart. Aka "vein of love" ( thats not true) but the story is still lovely. But in my hown country when a women gets engaged she wears it on the right hand finger, when they get married she wears her wedding band and engagement ring on her left hand with the band closest to the heart also. Every where is different.. Every person is different. Some people just choose what hand is more comfortable some go by traditions, beliefs, trends etc..

I had a promise ring and wore it on my right hand finger by the pinky. Then when I got engaged I wear just my engagement ring on the left hand on the finger by the pinky

Ring finger on left hand. I’ve read a couple things as far as placement. I’ve seen people do band first and engagement ring on top and then I read that you wear it in order it was given, so engagement and band on top. 🤷🏽‍♀️
I think it’s just preference about the order.
