Do you feel guilty if you have a gender preference?

We both say we don’t but I know deep inside we both want a girl. I feel bad because everyone keeps telling me not to wish for one or the other because the baby can feel your disappointment. I know I’m going to love my baby either way I just don’t want to feel disappointed

I always wanted a girl and ended up with 3 boys. Just wasn't meant to happen. But after my last was born,my brother had his first child which was a girl hours after my son was born. So I got my girl in a way. Lol I love being a boy mom though. Little boys are such a blessing. ♡

Gender disappointment is very real. I'm sure I'll be disappointed if we have a girl, I am so over girls in my family. I want a boy.

I think it’s totally fine to have a preference... just don’t make it obvious when you find out it’s not that... 
I have a friend Who has three girl (and is still trying again for a boy) and they did a gender reveal video for the third on FB and when it was a girl and were both like “ughhh” and it was so gross and cringy...  I feel so bad that the girl will see that later and know they were disappointed. 
My best friend really wanted a girl... at her reveal guests wore blue or pink, but mom and dad both wore black, which I loved... they had a preference but were not outright about it. It was a girl and she cried and said “that’s what we wanted” but it was quiet and tasteful... nothing that would be hard to show the child when they’re older.

I’m supposedly pregnant with another girl after one of each. I really wanted another boy. I’m not guilty for feeling the way I do. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I really wanted a girl with my first and was super happy that she was (although I was so paranoid that they got it wrong and that she’d be a boy until she was born lol). I’ve always said if I ever have a boy I want him last. We’ve got two girls now and I was super happy that our second was also a girl. Gender disappointment is a real thing though and it’s normal to experience so I don’t think it would negatively affect your baby or that it’s something to feel guilty about.

With my first I really wanted a boy. I didn't want to do a gender reveal because I didn't want anyone to see my disappointment if I were having a girl, but I didn't feel guilty about wanting a boy. I got my wish and had a boy. And now that I have him idc what I am pregnant with now. Another boy would be eaiser because I am well stocked in boy clothes but it would be nice to have a baby girl too.

Don’t feel too bad, when I was 11 my mom was pregnant with a baby, I would yell at anyone who said it was girl, I wanted a boy, but at the gender reveal, when the confetti was pink, I almost cried, I wanted a boy, but I wouldn’t have it any other way now, she is 2 now and she is my little buddy and I love her so so much 💖
