Anyone know what this could be? I just noticed it today. My dog keeps licking it. It looks like a bug bite to me..

Are there black flies in your area? They are so tiny but leave awful looking bites!! My daughter got some in the fall when we moved to a new city and I almost had a heart attack giving her a bath that night, I had no idea what it was. Figured it out eventually and got a bunch myself the next time we were at that park 😂
