Baby measuring 3 days behind

I should have been 7w5d on my ultrasound day but doctor called me today and said I measured 7w2d. He said it’s normal but I know exactly when I ovulated and also tested positive for pregnancy at 8dpo so this means I was only 5dpo? Can someone explain ☹️
